SWINDON have confirmed a deal to draft in Poole Pirates asset Darcy Ward for the rest of 2015.

Ward's switch, initially reported by the Daily Echo a fortnight ago, seemed destined to be completed today after Robins rider Kyle Howarth announced he had been released by the Blunsdon club.
Gutted to be out of an elite league spot, would be interested to hear from any other team if they are interested in making changes.

Swindon have been chasing Ward as a replacement for Adrian Miedzinski since Poole promoter Matt Ford announced his intention to stand by his one-to-seven.
But with Miedzinski on an 8.21 average, Robins had to drop another rider in order to accommodate Aussie ace Ward, whose 10-month ban for failing an alcohol test at the Latvian Grand Prix last year has just been lifted.
The prospect of Ward riding for Poole’s arch rivals has been met with a mixed reaction from fans but loan rules dictate that Pirates are unable to block the move.
Super happy 2 be at Swindon for 2015. Think it's a good club n I'm friendly know with riders n management. Was the right move for my career
