BOURNEMOUTH will be without lock Sam Knott and openside flanker Hamish Renwick for Saturday’s crunch clash with Newton Abbot (2.30pm).
Knott and Renwick have not been selected for the National Three South West fixture as they have a colts game on Sunday.
Matt Warwick will return from work commitments to take Knott’s place while Jo Burns is recalled to the squad.
Number eight Joe Rees is set to hit a personal landmark at Chapel Gate with his 50th league appearance for the first XV.
Bournemouth have met Newton Abbot five times and Scott Chislett, Sam Hardcastle, Jack Hennings and Alan Manning have featured in all of those games. The quartet are included in Saturday’s squad.
Lions: (from) Hancox, Sutherland, Higgins, Chislett, Roberts, Dennett, Hardcastle, Terry, Manning, Warwick, Firetto, Morris-Mean, Scott, Hennings, Rees, Benham, Bovett, Hertz, Burns.
- Rugby Football Union records maintain that Lions were defeated 33-20 by Hornets last weekend. However, as reported on Sunday by the Daily Echo, the visitors only managed 18 points, albeit unofficially.
