POOLE Town midfielder Keith Emmerson rubbed shoulders with football’s world stars when he got his hands on the League Cup trophy on Sunday.
The 32-year-old, a Royal Army Physical Training Corps instructor, played a key role at Wembley Stadium ahead of Chelsea’s 2-0 final victory over Tottenham.
While in military uniform, Emmerson collected the trophy from a suspended trapeze artist and placed it on a plinth.
The former Westland Sports man then took his seat in the media area and watched the likes of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Harry Kane strut their stuff.
A John Terry effort and an own goal by Kyle Walker handed Chelsea victory.
