MORGAN Turner plundered a hat-trick as New Milton Town kept a firm grip on the derby bragging rights thanks to a 4-2 win over Wessex One rivals Ringwood Town.
Striker Kabba Jack reacted quickest and netted the loose ball after a shot had come back off the crossbar to give the visitors the lead at Long Lane.
And depleted Ringwood found themselves 2-0 down at the break after Turner had opened his account before Robbie Woolner missed a penalty for the Linnets early in the second half.
Turner added his second and New Milton’s third before Matt Steer struck to reduce the deficit as the hosts pressed hard to force their way back into the game.
However, Turner completed his hat-trick to nip in the bud any hopes of a comeback before Jason Hardy scored a second for Ringwood.
Jack and Turner had both been on target in New Milton’s 3-2 win over Ringwood at Fawcett’s Field in the league in November, while Jack also netted a hat-trick in Linnets’ 6-3 win over them in the Russell-Cotes Cup competition last month.
