AMBITIOUS boss George Gunn revealed his determination to go even further after Christchurch's youth team reached the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup last week.

Goals from Rhys Owen and Adam Drodge secured Priory's 2-0 success at Farnborough on Thursday with Gunn now preparing his players for a tricky trip to Dartford.

And with the Hurn Bridge youngsters set for another non-league test against one of AFC Hornchurch, Grays Athletic or Uxbridge if they progress in Kent, Gunn is seeking a day out against one of the Premier League's giants.

Gunn told the Daily Echo: “Our team has a lot of strength and quality all over the pitch and this draw has given us the opportunity to play some good clubs in the next two rounds.

"We have an ambitious group and in my mind we have the ability to achieve those ambitions. Touch wood, we might still be in there when the Championship and Premier League clubs come in.”

First team boss Michael Cuffie said: “George is doing an amazing job and the fact there are so many of his lads knocking on the door of the first-team is testament to how we do things at this club.”
