TWO invincible Dorset clubs were celebrating after finishing their respective title-winning campaigns with remarkable records.

East Dorset and Lytchett Minster both registered resounding victories on Saturday to end their league seasons with a faultless 18 wins from 18 matches.

East, who claimed the Dorset & Wilts Two South crown by 18 points, comfortably defeated Puddletown 31-0.

Bidding to spoil the hosts’ party at Iford, Puddletown were soon forced on to the back foot as East played some superb rugby in the rain.

Mark Chiverton crossed for two tries with Matt Bills, Tom Burrows and Chris Poole also on the scoresheet for East, who got three conversions thanks to Sam Tresman.

Lytchett Minster, meanwhile, thumped Wimborne thirds 60-0 to complete an exceptional season in Dorset & Wilts Three South.

The 10-try demolition took their points tally to a mammoth 1,144, with just 67 points conceded, meaning their average result for the campaign was a breathtaking 64-4 victory.

Lytchett have also secured a new head coach ahead of next season with the arrival of Ian Martin.

Martin is a Level 4 coach and was previously head of rugby at Dulwich College, with other coaching experience at Sidcup, Blackheath, London Irish and with the Dorset & Wilts under-20 team.
