Over 800,000 people received their booster and third doses of the Covid-19 vaccine during the five-day Chrismtas period.

On December 23 figures showed that 32,290,487 doses were delivered in the UK, as of December 28 there were 33,091,891 extra doses.

Meaning that across the five days between Chrismtas Eve and December 28, 801,404 boosters were added.

Across the whole of the UK, a total of 62 percent of all adults have received a booster or a third dose.

The figures published by the UK's four health agencies showed that nearly 56,000 first doses of the vaccine have been added since December 23, along with 70,000-second doses.

As part of their new campaign, the Government has said all eligible adults in the UK will be offered the chance to get booster hab before the end of the month.

People can book their booster three months after receiving their second dose.

However people are not eligible to receive a vaccine within 28 days of having the virus.
