This month sees the start of the centenary of Passchendaele, from July until December 1917.
At the 'Local heroes: Words and Music' event, part of the Stone & Voice project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, at St Peter's Church, Hinton Road, Bournemouth, on July 31 you can discover the stories of local men and commemorate the Battle of Passchendaele with poetry, music and readings.
Meet at the reception at 7pm for performances at 7.30pm, followed by refreshments and a chance to tour the Resurrection Chapel and the church.
