MARK Loader, who died peacefully in July, was a pioneering civil engineer who entered his family’s business, Mark Loader (Bournemouth) Ltd.
The firm, established in 1875, helped build roads, bridges and air fields around the area.
It was founded by Mr Loader’s grandfather, also named Mark, and it moved to Rutland Road, Fiveways, at the turn of the 20th Century, where it stayed until it was wound down two decades ago.
Mr Loader was a dearly-loved husband to Elsie and loving father to Janet, Margaret and Mark and a granddad and great-granddad.
His funeral took place at St Michael’s Church, Verwood, on July 16.
