TWO of the phone boxes in Poole Park have been given a new lease of life by the area's maintenance team.
Having been refurbished, the telephone kiosks, which were installed as part of the 1990 park centenary celebrations, have been dressed with new planters and annual bedding varieties to create a new display.
They have not been operational to make phone calls since last year.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: "The phone systems and electrics in the boxes were removed last year as they were no longer being used and the phone kiosks were a target for vandalism and litter.
"Since then the kiosks have been stood idle until the Park maintenance staff had the idea to make a feature of them which make for a great new focal point in the park for everyone to enjoy."
