POLICE are trying to locate a van driver following a fail-to-stop collision in Poole.

The crash involving a white van and a moped happened in Alder Road near Alder Hills Roundabout at around 4.45pm on Tuesday, June 22.

The rider of the moped, a woman aged in her 30s from Poole, did not sustain any injuries.

Police said the white van did not stop at the scene or provide any details to the moped rider.

Now officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “I believe there were a number of motorists in the area at the time of the incident and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“We are carrying out enquiries to try and locate the driver of the white van and I would urge any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam to please come forward.”
