GILLINGHAM: Detailed plans have been submitted for 90 new homes in Gillingham.

Taylor Wimpey want to build 90 houses with garages, bin stores, play areas and public open space on land off Lodden Lakes, New Road, Gillingham.

Outline permission for the scheme was granted in 2015 for up to 90 homes, with 32 homes designated as affordable.

However, the developer says the application will only deliver nine.

Private housing will include 13 two bed houses, 51 three bed houses and 17 four bed houses.

There will be two play areas and one main designated area of open space.

There will also be a total of 220 parking spaces - 191 allocated to specific houses and 29 for general use.
