Leafy plants and calm furnishings foster an environment that focuses of wellbeing - you don’t have to be a member of the gym to enjoy this oasis, everyone is welcome.

A carefully conceived menu has been produced and tested, so the Hangout only offers high quality, nutritious and delicious fuel.

You can sip inside or grab to-go the finest coffee from local suppliers Bad Hand Coffee, plus savour the nourish bowls and smoothies designed by wellbeing chef amiieats.

It is described as the pinnacle of guilt-free gastronomy that will set you up for that workout, meeting, real-life group chat or just an amazing day.

The sign you see on the frontage gives you the R1SE concept in a nutshell: ‘Coffee, Food, Social, Gym’.

Co-founders Ty and Jamie wanted to create a space that is approachable and casual, whilst at the same time being at the forefront of performance when it comes to fitness -  The two don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

R1SE was conceived by local business operators Ty Temel and Jamie Whisken along with Benjamin Banks Reynolds.

The dynamic trio have come together to raise tens of thousands for local mental health charity Dorset Mind through fitness challenges involving an active and engaged community of hundreds of people.

Ty Temel said: “It is rewarding to see the first phase of R1SE launch with the opening of the Hangout.

"We really want this to be ‘the spot’ in the area, somewhere where everyone feels welcome and will feel nourished and energised when (if) they leave.

"I’m known for having multiple business ventures in the area, but this is a very different gig for me. Being able to combine my passion for fitness, nutrition and social connection in one space and do it with friends is special.

"We knew a high-performance fitness and social space would be just as popular in Bournemouth as it is in cities like London and the feedback and demand we have already received just validates that.

"R1SE will just continue to develop and be at the forefront of fitness in the area.”

Jamie Whisken said: “The vision for me was always to open my own gym. I wasn’t sure how and when it would happen, but now it is with colleagues with vast industry experience that are also my mates is just a real bonus. I have been involved in and loved fitness for as long as I can remember.

"Having worked with athletes at the very top of their game, in Premier League Football and F1, I really understand the fitness demands of athletes.

"R1SE specifically combines technology, experienced professionals, plus leading sports brands into one hub. There is nothing comparable to this in the area. The Hangout is a natural element of the space.

"We want nutrition, wellbeing and social connection to be promoted and accessible. It is exciting to see this phase launch.”

Visitors to R1SE can expect next level fitness with PTs who train professional athletes, industry leading classes, high-end functional equipment and bespoke zones for training, strength and recovery with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.

The R1SE fitness spaces, currently being custom built, are due to open next month.

They comprise ‘The Arena’ a top level, high technology studio with bookable classes (pay as you go or buy in multiples) and ‘The Gym’, this is the dedicated members area -  fully focused on the performance and wellbeing of each individual.
