Jurors trying murder accused Dominic Isom will resume their deliberations this morning after being sent home yesterday after three-and-a-half hours.

The defendant denies murdering Samantha Henderson at the couple's home on January 21 this year.

The 25-year-old's body was discovered in the lake at Ham Common on January 30, wrapped in a plastic bag and a child's Hello Kitty duvet.

She had sustained 23 wounds before her death, including two significant impacts to her forehead and neck.

Isom, 28, of Halves Cottages, Corfe Castle, has admitted causing the injuries which led to Ms Henderson's death, but told jurors that he had no intention to cause serious harm to her.

Jurors were yesterday sent out at the conclusion of a seven-day trial at Winchester Crown Court and given three options: not guilty, guilty of manslaughter or guilty of murder.

They will resume their deliberations at 10am on Thursday morning.
