Has your child got what it takes to dazzle and shine like a star in front of the camera? Here’s the perfect opportunity to find out with the Daily Echo 2012 Child of the Year portrait competition.

Want to take part? All you'll need is to cut out a Child of the Year ‘PHOTO SESSION’ advert, published everyday in the Daily Echo from next Monday, October 15 until Saturday November 10.

Then all you have to do is take the advert to one of our special Child of the Year photo shoots taking place from 10am – 4pm daily at:

• Asda, Bournemouth – 24 Oct – 28 Oct.

• Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole – 29 Oct – 4 Nov.

• Sovereign Shopping Centre, Boscombe – 30 Oct – 3 Nov.

Entry is free- all you need is the advert from the paper. No photocopies will be allowed and one coupon per child is required. Children must be aged from 0 months to 12 years old.

This year the Daily Echo is delighted to welcome Broadstone-based Fraser Portraits as the official Daily Echo Child of the Year photographers. 

With over 30 years of experience in taking children’s portraits, Fraser Portraits can’t fail to produce a smile for our competition!

Photo packages will be available to purchase if you wish to have a memento of the picture taken of your child for the competition but there is no obligation to purchase these as it is free to take part in the competition.

Once all the pictures have been taken, we'll print a supplement for each age category, starting on Thursday 29th November with 0 – 9 months and finishing on Monday 3rd December with the 6 – 12 years age group.

Voting for the child you would like to see crowned as the winner of the Daily Echo Child of the Year portrait competition will be by post, text and phone. Full details will be printed within each supplement.

All five category winners will receive a Fraser Portrait studio session and WOW book of images taken at the photo session which is sure to become a treasured family keepsake, or make a fantastic Christmas present.
