CHRISTCHURCH band State of Undress will be performing a unique show for shoppers at Sainsburys Christchurch tomorrow afternoon.

To celebrate the arrival of their new clothing collection designed by TV presenter and fashion guru, Gok Wan, the store has invited the band to play their new song I’m Gorgeous (Gok Wan Told Me So!).

Two weeks ago, the band sent Gok a message about their song, not really expecting a response. Next thing, they received a call from Gok asking if they could use it on his website.

Carol Clappcott, clothing manager for Sainsburys Christchurch explained: ‘When we heard that our very own Christchurch-based band State of Undress had written ‘I’m Gorgeous (Gok Wan Told Me So)’ and that it was playing on Gok’s website, it just tied in so beautifully with the arrival of Gok’s collection into the store that we just had to invite them in to play it for all of our gorgeous customers.”

Charlie Rose lead singer with State of Undress added: “We are having so much fun with our gorgeous song – it’s a bit quirky rather like the band. We were delighted when Sainsburys Christchurch invited us to play for their customers.”

State of Undress will be playing in Sainsburys Christchurch from about 5.30pm onwards tomorrow.
