THE first ever Poole 5 Quays Walk was hailed a success.
The Rotary Club organised the charity event on Sunday (SUN OCT 7) and hopes it will become an annual event.
Around 250 to 300 people did the 3.4 mile route taking in Lifeboat Quay, West Quay, Poole Quay, Great Quay, Town Quay, and both the town's bridges.
They had to complete a 'Treasure Hunt' questionnaire along the way to win donated prizes.
Don Butt, from Canford Cliffs, past president of the Rotary Club of Poole Quay, said: “As they finished people were saying how much they enjoyed it.”
The event also marked the first public performance of A Different Drum, the Taiko Drumming Band project of the Hamworthy Community Partnership.
