A REWARD is being offered for information leading to the recovery of a large ornamental container stolen from the back garden of a house in Poole earlier this week.
The grey coloured lead cistern went missing from the property in Lake Drive, Hamworthy, between 2.45 and 3.05pm on Monday afternoon while the occupants were away.
PC Phil Cowlishaw of Poole police said: “This theft was carried out in daylight. The cistern is of great sentimental value – so much so that the owners are offering a reward of £100 for its safe return. This item is very large and extremely heavy, and it’s likely the offenders had a vehicle to help them transport it.
Anyone with information is asked to ring the police on 101, quoting incident 24:290.
