Every hour, more than three people are diagnosed with cancer in the South West.
SU2C, being brought to the UK by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, aims to raise money to accelerate groundbreaking research.
It will unite scientists, celebrities and communities to generate funds and raise awareness.
A free fundraising pack is available with ideas for daring ways to raise money at home or at work – such as being sponsored to wear hair spiked-up for a day.
Cancer Research UK shops also have a wide range of SU2C T-shirts and hoodies for men and women, plus watches, badges, key rings and mugs.
There are SU2Cwristbands in four colours for £1 each.
As well as Cancer Research UK shops, they will be on sale at Tesco and TK Maxx stores from October.
