RESIDENTS in Bournemouth’s Redhill and Northbourne ward are being urged to make sure they cast their vote in next Thursday’s by-election.
The by-election was called following the resignation of former council leader Peter Charon and there are nine candidates.
Voting will take place between 7am and 10pm in four polling stations across the ward. The count will take place at the Town Hall immediately after the polls have closed.
Matt Pitcher, electoral services manager, said: “If you want to have a say in how the council runs the town this is your opportunity.”
The nine candidates are Nicholas Atkinson for UKIP; David D’Orton-Gibson for the Conservatives; Paul Graham, Independent; Sandra Hale, Green Party; Jo Kennedy for Labour; Pat Lewis for the Liberal Democrats; Claire Smith, Independent; Colin Smith, British National Party and Peter Woodley, Independent.
