A COUPLE have been ordered to remove their mobile home after losing a seven-year planning battle.

Anthony Ward and Sarah Moore defied New Forest National Park bosses for seven years by continuing to live in the illegal accommodation at Oak Lea Farm, Sway.

Now the authority has won a High Court injunction for the home to be taken away, following years of action which included the refusal of a retrospective planning application and two prosecutions for failing to comply with an Enforcement Notice.

The Deputy High Court Judge sitting at Winchester also awarded over £10,200 in costs to the National Park Authority (NPA).

In his judgement, Judge Iain Hughes said: “...It is also clear from the evidence that the defendants to date made no attempt whatsoever to obtain rehousing, or assistance with rehousing from the local authority.”
