Police in Blandford are hunting a cold-hearted thief who distracted a 97-year-old man in his own home before fleeing with his cash.
A man in his 20s, with a very slim build and dark hair, pushed his way into the property in the Heddington Drive area at around 7.45pm on Friday after claiming he was owed money for gardening work. The offender distracted the pensioner while he stole money from his wallet. DC Tracey Cambridge described the offence as “cowardly and wicked.”
