ALL four local roads on to the Canford Bottom roundabout are closed for the next four weeks.
Only the A31 through the busy junction between Wimborne and Ferndown is open during the second phase of road closures on a £5.7million junction improvement scheme.
From midnight tonight until Friday, March 9, the access and entry points to all four local roads at the roundabout will be closed 24 hours a day.
Drivers on the A31 eastbound and westbound will travel straight through the centre of the junction on a new section of road and there will be no access to and from any of the four local roads at the roundabout.
Drivers trying to get to Wimborne Minster and Colehill will follow a signed diversion route from the Merley roundabout and those for Ferndown, West Parley and Longham will be re-directed from the Palmersford roundabout, near Sainsbury’s supermarket, or from the Merley roundabout.
The road closures are part of a seven-week-long programme.
From March 9 to March 23, local roads on the west of the roundabout will be closed and A31 eastbound traffic will only be able to travel continuously through the junction.
