Four vehicles have crashed on the A31 at Ringwood.
Police have closed the east bound carriageway and may also the west bound carriageway.
Traffic is being diverted through the roundabout underneath the flyover.
Hampshire Police would not give details of injuries but said the road is likely to remain at least partly closed for several hours.
Witnesses described mulitple police cars, several fire engines and ambulances, screens for casualties, and up to 10 stationary cars.
The accident happened around 5.50pm.
