SPURS manager Harry Redknapp appeared outside his Poole home this morning to insist he was not focussing on the prospect of being England manager.

The Sandbanks resident is favourite for English football’s top job after Fabio Capello quit the post on Wednesday.

Emerging from his Poole home in his car, he told reporters who asked about the job: "I've not even thought about it."

He added: "I’ve got a job to do. We’ve got a big game on Saturday for Tottenham."

He appealed for privacy and said his wife Sandra was “not really feeling that great”. "It’s been a tricky five years this has been dragging on for. I’ve had this hanging over me for five years," he said.

“They’ve been fantastic to me, Tottenham people, and it wouldn’t be right to them to focus on anything else but Tottenham.”
