DORSET looks set to escape snow this week despite sub-zero temperatures being predicted.
Today’s top temperature will be just one degree centigrade but the mercury should be up to the dizzy heights of six degrees by Friday, according to forecasters.
Temperatures are again due to plummet to around minus three tonight – similar to last night – before making a gradual recovery.
Drivers have been warned to take care on icy roads.
Rural areas of Wales and the north of England are expected to see temperatures down to minus 10 degrees in the next 24 hours.
