SPORTSMAN: Steve Bernard
A FANCY dress run will raise money for the Steve Bernard Foundation on Sunday, February 19.
The event, Stevie B’s 25th Fancy Dress Fun Run and Walk, commemorates the popular local sportsman who died at the age of 18 in 2005.
Runners and walkers will go from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier and back.
Meridian Brass Band will perform before the 1.30pm start and local DJ Christian James will warm up the crowds.
A team of interns from the Anglo-European Chiroprac-tic Clinic will give free pre- and post-race massages The celebrity starter for the event will be Southampton footballer Adam Lallana.
Entry fee is £5 and will go to the foundation’s work backing local sporting projects. Details are at sbfuk.org
