A CHRISTCHURCH police officer is appealing for residents in his new patch to contact him with concerns and issues.
PC Andy Morton, who used to be part of Grange Safer Neighbourhood Team, has moved to the Mudeford and West Highcliffe team.
He has been patrolling the area and introducing himself to residents but hopes to reach a wider audience soon via a new Facebook page he has set-up.
PC Morton is a keen Twitter user and often uses it to keep in touch with residents.
He’s found that far from the typical view of the younger generation using social networking sites, many residents who are over the age of 50 have been utilising the tool to keep up to date on what is happening.
“The area has some great residents’ associations who are very in touch with what is happening. It’s great to see and I’m really looking forward to working with everyone in Mudeford and West Highcliffe”, said PC Morton.
