MUSIC fans are in for a bumper year at the BIC and Pavilion Theatre with some of the biggest names in the business announcing tour dates in Bournemouth.

This month sees former mechanic turned opera superstar Alfie Boe at the BIC on January 21.

February sees popular indie band Snow Patrol at the BIC on February 8, while mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins hits the high notes on February 9.

X Factor star Olly Murs will be making two trips to the BIC on February 15 and 16, with American R&B sensation Jason Derulo following on February 28.

The distinctive vocal tone of Van Morrison will be gracing the Pavilion Theatre on March 4, as Florence and The Machine play the BIC on the same night.

Support on the night will come from the critically acclaimed indie band, The Horrors.

Current teen sensations The Wanted play the BIC on March 6, with veteran acts Engelbert Humperdinck and Chris Rea visiting the venue on March 17 and 20 respectively.

Newly reformed ‘90s pop sensation Steps mark their comeback with a show at the BIC on April 16.

Irish favourite Daniel O’Donnell makes a welcome return to the BIC for a double helping at the BIC on April 27 and 28.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds swoop in at the venue on September 4. The legendary Oasis musician has added the BIC date to an already sold-out UK tour, so tickets are expected to fly for his show.

Eighties guitar legend Mark King and his band Level 42 bring the funk to the Pavilion Theatre on October 9.

Christmas 2012 brings everyone’s favourite spiky haired Antipodean Peter Andre and his live show on December 10.
