WHEN 12-year-old Jazz Baker was given a VIP seat for boyband One Direction’s show at the BIC last Tuesday, she was thrilled.

Little did she know that was just the start of it – she and her dad Dean were also taken backstage to meet the band members and Jazz even had her photo taken with them.

Dean, from Canford Heath, plays the keyboards in a local band called Galahad, and knows One Direction’s sound engineer Dave Martell, who organised the treat for Jazz.

Dean told the Echo: “It was a complete surprise, Jazz just thought she was going to see the gig. Dave said he had a goodie bag for her, but he’d forgotten it so she’d have to go backstage with him.

“We bumped into Harry in the corridor and then he took us to see the rest of the guys. I’ve met bands before, but they were just the most lovely, polite boys.

“Her friends are extremely jealous and, according to Facebook, I’m the best dad in the world at the moment.”
