Firefighters rescued a man from a fire in Boscombe last night.
They used breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put out the fire in a ground floor bedroom in Carysfort Road.
Crews from Springbourne and Christchurch were on scene within five minutes of 999 calls at 11.55pm to rescue the man.
He was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
The ground floor bedroom was damaged by smoke.
Unattended smoking materials are believed to have caused the fire.
