WIMBORNE St. Giles will be transported back to the heady days of the 1920s next month, when The Bull Inn plays host to an award-winning classic jazz quintet.

Fronting this one off performance on November 7 will be Josh Duffee and Andy Schum.

These two talented young musicians hail from the USA and their sound is rooted in the classical jazz style of the 1920s, with legends such as Bix Beiderbecke being their main inspiration.

“We’re so excited about this,” says Mark Thornton, owner of The Bull Inn.

“Andy is an incredible jazz cornetist and Josh is one of the best classic jazz drummers in the US.

“They have a great reputation in their home country and we are looking forward to bringing such talent to Dorset.”

Indeed Josh and Andy are prolific musicians; both front successful bands back in the States and when they’re not touring with them, they travel around the world making music with other artists.

The pair will be joined at The Bull Inn by three other well-known jazz musicians, but Mark is keeping their names under wraps. “Tickets for this intimate performance are limited so book early to avoid disappointment,” says Mark.
