A VISIT to Windy Castle, a ride in Miss Rabbit’s helicopter and even a jump in some muddy puddles.

Visiting Peppa Pig World is just like stepping right into an episode of the ever-popular children’s TV show.

The three-acre site, at Paultons Park in Hampshire, opens to the public on April 9, but we were lucky enough to be invited along for a sneak preview.

Totally unique, the park features absolutely everything that fans of everyone’s favourite little pig could want.

There are seven rides, including a trip on Grandpa Pig’s train and a ride in Daddy Pig’s cars, not to mention the fantastically fun dinosaur ride – a firm favourite with visitors both child and adult-sized!

Peppa and George themselves are on hand throughout the day to meet and greet their adoring public, and were absolutely mobbed when they made their first appearance outside Madame Gazelle’s Schoolhouse.

After meeting her heroes in the flesh – or should I say fur - my three-year-old daughter couldn’t wait to run wild in Mr Potato’s Playground.

Beautifully created with artificial grass, a colourful rainbow pathway, slides and climbing frames, as well as special sections for the teeny tinies, Amber could happily have played for hours.

But it was off for a ride in Peppa Pig’s Balloon, with a fantastic 360 aerial view of the park, followed by the Windy Castle ride – the only one of its kind in the UK.

After a quick bite to eat at Daddy Pig’s Big Tummy Café, which could have done with a slightly bigger selection of food and a few more seats, we ventured into George’s Space Ship Play Zone, housed in a 900 square metre unique grass-roofed building.

Super-fast slides and an amazing ball pool with all sorts of air-blowing gadgets meant the soft-play area was filled with shouts of glee and parents taking a well-earned rest.

We tried the rest of the rides – Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight, Daddy Pig’s Car Ride, Grandpa Pig’s Little Train, Grandpa Pig’s Boat Trip and George’s Dinosaur Adventure, with the latter a clear winner, before grabbing an ice cream at Miss Rabbit’s Ice Cream Parlour.

If that wasn’t enough, there was also a special photo studio, a peek inside Peppa’s House, a Peppa-themed gift shop and, of course, a chance to jump in some muddy puddles – don’t forget the swimming costumes.

Visitors to Paultons will have access to Peppa Pig World as well as the main park included in their entry fee, but there was easily enough at Peppa Pig to keep little ones entertained for a day.

Stephen Lorton, Paultons Park commercial director, explained where the idea came from.

“Paultons was one of the first parks to stage a Peppa Pig Meet and Greet around four years ago,” he said.

“This proved popular with our guests and we have seen this popularity gradually increase to where it is today.”

Paultons approached Entertainment One, the licence holders of Peppa Pig, with the idea of a theme park.

“We wanted rides and attractions that would complement those we already had in the park as well as having things that were able to be themed so that they were integral to the whole of Peppa Pig World,” said Stephen.

“We are hoping the introduction of Peppa Pig World will lead to guests travelling from further afield than they have done in the past as this is totally unique and only available at Paultons.”

Wherever you travel from, you’re sure to have a fantastic day at Peppa Pig World.

“If Amber is anything to go by, your only difficulty will be getting the kids to say goodbye to their furry friend!
