POLICE are today continuing their investigations into a suspected crystal meth factory in Bournemouth.
Methuen Close in Springbourne has been cordoned off while specialist officers wearing protective clothing continue their search of a flat.
Police evacuated nearby residents on Tuesday night as a precautionary measure.
Inspector Chris Weeks, East Bournemouth Section Commander, said: "We are working closely with our partners in this incident and are taking precautionary steps to keep the public safe.
"Advice is being given to local residents in relation to the involved substances.
"I would encourage anyone with information about drug supply in the area to report it to Dorset Police in confidence as we are determined to show those involved in criminality that it will not be tolerated."
A 56-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested in the Springbourne area on Tuesday as part of Operation Dismantle and is helping police with their enquiries.
