THREE adults and three children were rescued after two hours drifting in Poole Harbour on Saturday.
Coastguards were alerted at around 5pm by a mobile phone call to the group stranded in two Fletcher speed boats near Brownsea Island.
The RNLI all weather and off shore lifeboats were tasked to the scene and found that the boats had been swamped by a wave.
The party was taken to shore assisted by Poole Coastguard rescue officers by 6pm.
No-one was injured although some of the group reported being very cold said a Portland Coastguard spokesperson.
