Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell insists goalkeeper Jon Stewart still has a future at Dean Court.
Stewart returned to training yesterday after serving a two-week suspension for alleged breaches of discipline and a poor attitude to training.
The 22-year-old stopper was told to stay away from the club for a fortnight and invited by Mitchell to “re-assess his career”.
Stewart spoke briefly with boss Lee Bradbury ahead of training before linking up with goalkeeping coach Neil Moss at Canford School.
Mitchell told the Daily Echo: “I am glad he is back training.
“The ball is in his court. He is under contract with us, he is with us and we want to get the best out of him. We have got to move on and can’t keep looking back. Hopefully, Jon will come with us.”
Stewart, who is just six months into a two-and-a-half year contract with Cherries, politely declined to comment when approached by the Daily Echo.
