STUDENTS using the Bournemouth University car park received a surprise yesterday morning.
A Red Bull Formula One car was parked among the otherwise unassuming vehicles left in the bottom car park near the Christchurch House teaching block.
Sam Cork-Williamson, 20, a fine art student at the neighbouring Arts University College, was among those who stopped to admire the carbon fibre masterpiece.
βItβs mind blowing. To see a Formula One car in the flesh is incredible. To think that someone is paid to drive one is unreal!β he said.
The seven-year-old machine now tours the country as a static show car without an engine.
The surprise appearance had been organised to promote a competition in which young journalists can win a two-month placement with the Red Bull Reporter, including covering the British Grand Prix.
