AN alien called Paul, a Justin Bieber documentary and another of the Big Mommas films – the box office seems to be taking a break from a run of award-nominated films.
Brit comedy duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost team up once again for their third movie Paul.
Previously seen tackling zombies in North London in Shaun of the Dead and fighting crime in the English countryside in Hott Fuzz, this time the friends are on an American roadtrip when they come across a pot smoking, beer swigging alien called Paul, voiced by Seth Rogen.
The sci-fi adventure also stars Jason Bateman, Kristen Wigg and Sigourney Weaver.
Those who have already caught Bieber fever won’t need any reminding that perfectly coifed popstar Justin Bieber makes his big screen debut this weekend.
Never Say Never 3D is a behind-the-scenes documentary following the meteoric rise of the 16-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter.
From his early YouTube videos that first sparked attention in 2007, to becoming a global sensation with hoards of screaming fans, any ardent Bieber fan will be all over this.

If you thought you’d seen the back of Big Mommas films, sadly you were wrong. Martin Lawrence dons the fat suit of Hattie Mae Pierece once again for the third chapter of the comedy series in Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.
