A PARTNERSHIP has been created to oversee the £350 million redevelopment of Bournemouth town centre.
Known as The Bournemouth Development Company, the public-private partnership will be tasked with delivering attractions, homes, shops and businesses, as well as improving open spaces, over the next 20 years.
The council has gone with Morgan Sindall Investments.
Deputy council leader Councillor John Beesley said: “By forming this partnership we’re helping secure Bournemouth’s future as a premier destination, working with some of the nation’s most talented urban designers and architects to bring major improvements, without impacting financially on council taxpayers.”
Leyton Mount car park is earmarked as the first major site to be developed.
