A CHINESE teapot discovered in Dorset has been sold for £108,000 by Bonhams in New Bond Street, London.
The international fine art auction house refused to say in which part of the county the Imperial Chinese famille rose globular teapot and cover had been found.
But Bonhams’ spokesman Colin Sheaf said: “We are encouraging anyone in Dorset who owns Chinese art to get in touch. Interest in Chinese works of art has reached an all time high, with many items now selling for six-figure sums.”
