A BROADSTONE grandad who started playing the Daily Echo’s Find the Ball competition almost 30 years ago has finally landed a top prize.
Brian Woolgar, 75, said he had won a handful of small £15 prizes but never anything close to the £2,200 he has just won.
Mr Woolgar said the unexpected windfall was perfect timing as he was about to fit a new mover to his caravan. “This is by far my biggest prize so far and it couldn’t have come at a better time,” he said.
Mr Woolgar, the district chairman for Poole Scouts, said his three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren might also receive “a bit of extra pocket money”.
You can enter the Find the Ball in the Daily Echo every Saturday.
