A HOME received smoke damage in a fire near Horton on Tuesday.
Fire fighters from Cranborne and Verwood attended the house at around 1.45pm and found a fire in an upstairs bedroom.
They requested backup from crews from Wimborne and Ferndown.
The blaze was brought under control by 2.40pm using two hosereel jets. Fire fighters also cut away areas inside the house to stop the fire spreading.
There was severe damage to a wooden floor and smoke damage to all three floors.
No-one was injured.
The fire was believed to have been caused by overheated floor sander.
