FAMILY doctors were the main cause of complaints about services commissioned by NHS Bournemouth and Poole between July and September last year, it has been revealed.
A report to the trust’s board says 27 per cent of the complaints were about GPs, mostly because patients felt the doctor had been rude or offhand.
Three complaints were about GPs failing to refer patients to hospital and one alleged that a GP had prescribed medication that led to serious side-effects.
A further 25 per cent of complaints were about dentists.
