DECEMBER may have presented us with a host of family friendly fantasy movies, but if you’ve been craving some drama, then now is the time to head to the cinema.
We’re gearing up to awards season and two hotly tipped films make their way out of the starting blocks this week in the form of The King’s Speech and 127 Hours.
The King's Speech
Colin Firth is poised for Academy Award glory with his portrayal of King George VI, who calls upon Australian-born speech therapist Lionel Logue to help him with his crippling stammer.

127 Hours tells the extraordinary real-life story of mountain climber Aron Ralston, who in 2003, became trapped by a boulder in the Blue John Canyon in Utah for five days until he amputated his arm to free himself.

Season of the Witch
The supernatural period action flick stars Nicholas Cage and Ron Perlman as knights who return from the Crusades to find their homeland ruined by the Black Plague.
