SIX graveside holly wreaths have been stolen from Verwood cemetery.
Dorset Police are upping patrols in the wake of the thefts, which happened between Friday December 10 and Sunday December 12.
Sergeant Richard Partridge, from Verwood Safer Neighbour Team, said: “This has naturally caused great distress to the grieving relatives and friends who lay these wreaths.”
Any witnesses, or anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the cemetery during the last week, should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 222 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
