BOURNEMOUTH Airport operated as normal at the weekend in the wake of the terror alert at East Midlands Airport.
The UK and US governments are investigating after explosive material was found in packages on two cargo planes bound for America from Yemen. One of the packages was found at East Midlands Airport.
Bournemouth is owned by the same company as East Midlands, Manchester Airports Group, but communications director, Sally Windsor, said it had not been affected.
“There’s been no requirement from the government to bring in any extra restrictions,” she said.
