DO you love a good scare? If the answer is 'yes', then we’ve got just the thing for you!

The British Horror Film Festival takes place from noon until midnight on Saturday, October 30, at the Bournemouth Pier Theatre, and will be making sure that your Halloween gets off to a screaming start.

The event, which has been organised by The Film Festival Guild, will be showcasing movies by independent filmmakers.

There will be four screenings taking place throughout the day and the films themselves won’t be revealed until a later date.

The schedule is as follows:

• 12pm - 2pm Networking

• 2pm - 4pm SCREENING BLOCK 1 - Short Film Screenings

• 4:15pm - 6:15pm SCREENING BLOCK 2 Feature Film Screening

• 7:30pm - 9:15pm SCREENING BLOCK 3 Feature Film Screening

• 9:35pm - 11pm SCREENING BLOCK 4 Feature Film Screening

• 11pm - 12am AWARDS

Limited tickets are on sale now, and until October 1, fright fans will be able to buy two tickets to each screening for only £3 a pair.

There are details on how to buy tickets here

Festival Manager Jacqueline Cockerill said: “We are announcing what films are going to be showing over the coming weeks and thought it would be fun to offer 'date tickets' at a discount, two tickets to a screening for £3. We might not have announced what film we'll be screening between now and when the offer ends, so it'll be all the scarier for you and your date! All you'll know is the time and place!”

Dressing up as your favourite monster is a must, and a TV camera crew and professional photographer will be on hand to cover the ghoulish goings-on.

After the final screening of the day, there will be an awards ceremony, not just for the films themselves, but also for the best costume.
