THE nights are drawing in and there’s a slight nip in the air. Yes, autumn is practically here, but that’s no reason to hide under the duvet until spring!

There's lots of great films to look forward to! Here's our autumn film round-up...

If you love a good scare, then this is the season for you! As we countdown to Halloween, cue an onslaught of all types of horror and gore coming your way including The Last Exorcism, which comes from Eli Roth (director of Hostel and Cabin Fever) and is out this Friday.

Ryan Reynolds awakens to find himself six feet underground with nothing but a lighter, knife and mobile phone in the claustrophobic thriller Buried. This proved a big hit when it showcased at Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year.

Needless to say, if you’re not a fan of confined spaces, this may be one to avoid when it drops on October 1!

Travel and romance more your kind of thing? Julia Roberts brings the best seller Eat, Pray, Love to life as she goes on a spiritual journey across Italy, India and Indonesia. Out September 24.

Internet geeks will be looking forward to The Social Network, starring Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland, Adventureland) and Justin Timberlake. The film tells the story about the founders of the cultural phenomenon that is Facebook and the personal and legal complications that came with success.

Michael Douglas reprises his role as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, the sequel to the 1987 Academy Award winning film Wall Street. The film also stars Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin. ETA October 8.

On November 5 Let Me In, the US remake of Swedish vampire love story Let The Right One In, opens in cinemas. Whether it will capture the isolation, atmosphere, beautiful cinematography and emotion of the original, we’ll have to wait and see.

Finally, if you’re a Harry Potter fan you’ve probably already marked November 19 in your diary. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is the first instalment of the final book from J.K Rowling, which has been split into two films. The grand finale is expected in July 2011.
