Singer and presenter Louise Redknapp says she would not rule out plastic surgery as she ages – but she no longer feels the need to be perfect.

Redknapp, 35, married to footballer-turned-pundit Jamie, said she would be upfront if she underwent any cosmetic procedures.

In an interview with Red magazine, for which she posed in a swimsuit, the mum-of-two, who lives with Jamie in Sandbanks, Poole, said: “I wouldn’t be averse to plastic surgery one day.

“I can’t think of anything I’d want to do right now but, later in life, if I wanted to go and get my boobs done, I would.

“But if I did, I’d be honest about it. I don’t understand why people feel the need to pretend they haven’t had anything done.

The singer said: “The bikini shoots are getting harder, the older I get, but what I’m able to do now is relax and say to myself: ‘This is me at 35, and after two kids. I may not be a supermodel, but I can just about get away with it’. I don’t feel I have to look perfect any more.”

Redknapp, who has been married to her 37-year-old husband for 12 years, also said: “I know there’s a perception that Jamie and I have the perfect marriage, but we have our ups and downs. It worries me that if one day anything were to happen, it would hit us really hard, because we’ve got this image of perfection to live up to.”
