AFTER football singularly failed to lift the spirits of the nation, Mr Kyps is hoping a weekend of free live music will do the job for locals!

“In times like this the great British tradition of raising the mood with a good ol’ knees up holds much importance,” says Kyp.

Which is why the venue is offering free entry to two great party bands on Friday and Saturday night.

“We were scheduled to show the football but seemingly the England squad had other plans for us!”

ZZ Tops headline Friday night, having stunned regulars on their Kyps debut with a show that boasts all the necessary props as well as being a terrific look- and sound-alike affair.

Saturday night promises the 20 funky feet and 20 happy hands of 10-piece soul revue Souled Out with a roasting set of soul and R&B gems from the likes of James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding and Jackie Wilson.
